And There Was War In Heaven

Tonight in the NYC, the Jonathan Levine Gallery will open its newest exhibition featuring James Marshall newest collection of geometric work called "And There Was War In Heaven." The exhibition will have a limited run from Decemeber 12 to January 9th, 2010.

The bright colors and variety of them used make these peices really pop. Also the design gives off a complex pattern or look but yet it also seems very simple. They give me a calming sense for some reason.

Rollin' High

Mike Giant hooked up with TOTT Global and produced these Rollin’ High Dice Game dice and poster. These are very, very limited. Only 100 of each have just gone on sale for $10 through REBEL8’s website. The dice look dope as hell. I know a bunch of smokers and shooters that would love a pair. To bad there wasnt a wide release of em.

Poverty is Modern

eBoy hooked up with Air and the "Poverty is Modern" campaign and created this poster for Amnesty International. The poster is 47" x 33" in size and with rich color and great detail in the design of the city, this is another great project from eBoy. The poster is being sold via his website with a portion of the profits being donated to the Amnesty International "Proverty is Modern" program.

Aaron Young - Motorcycle Art

San Franciscan artist Aaron Young was recently spotted at the OHWOW gallery in Miami for the “It Ain’t Fair” exhibition which runs until tomorrow, and features over 30 contemporary artists (including Kaws, Todd James and KR). This video shows Young on hand for the physical creation of his latest work “Motorcycle Art”, which develops a theme that is somewhat familiar to Young, who continues to focus his attention on those more marginalised factions.

This is a cool and different idea. Wish I could have went to the show. Going to be on the lookout for the finished piece.

The EyeWriter

The EyeWriter project is an ongoing collaborative research effort to empower people who are suffering from ALS with creative technologies.

It is a low-cost eye-tracking apparatus & custom software that allows graffiti writers and artists with paralysis resulting from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis to draw using only their eyes.

Members of Free Art and Technology (FAT), OpenFrameworks, the Graffiti Research Lab, and The Ebeling Group communities have teamed-up with a legendary LA graffiti writer, publisher and activist, named Tony Quan, aka TEMPTONE. Tony was diagnosed with ALS in 2003, a disease which has left him almost completely physically paralyzed… except for his eyes. This international team is working together to create a low-cost, open source eye-tracking system that will allow ALS patients to draw using just their eyes. The long-term goal is to create a professional/social network of software developers, hardware hackers, urban projection artists and ALS patients from around the world who are using local materials and open source research to creatively connect and make eye art.

A Dope Bowl

Check out this bowl in Lugano, Switzerland. Dont know much about it other than the location and that it was painted by the Never Crew.
This shit is very nice. Real creative. The colors really pop, espically against the rest of the photo. That is a great shot by the way. Good job to whoever took it.

The Tank Chair & My 1st Post

This is the latest piece in Pharrell Williams' Perspective Series. It will be avalible in four colorways and is made up of plexiglass and full grain colt leather. The first chair in his Perspective series was a great piece of work. I wonder where he gets his inspiration for these. Personally I think the chair is dope. Looks real clean. I wonder how comfy it is, and if can actually move.
